Fall is probably my favorite season, until it's time to start raking leaves and cleaning gutters. In honor of the turkey (my family, manicotti or shrimp boil) I have decided that I am going to post Fall-themed pictures on the days I think about it leading up to Thanksgiving.

Fall is probably one of my favorite seasons, until it's time to start raking leaves and cleaning gutters. In honor of the turkey (my family, manicotti) I have decided that I am going to post Fall-themed pictures on the days I think about it leading up to Thanksgiving. 

Illinois River and Banana Boats

This picture was taken at "Lumberjack Weekend" with our students. It turned out to be a weekend of memories... from having the Sheriff and Ranger come see us, because they thought we were stranded hikers to one of our group members freezing through the night, only to wake up and realize they had a huge rip in their sleeping bag. Good times. This is also where I experienced a new campfire snack, known as "BANANA BOATS."

Banana Boats:
(-) Cut a Banana down the middle like you would a potato
(-) Separate the peel and add
      (-) Chocolate Chips, M&M, Reeses Pieces, Marshmallows
(-) Close Banana and Wrap in Foil
(-) Place in fire for at least 10 min
(-) Remove and Enjoy
